Good Morning America, Still Leading, Is Down Double Digits

morning show anchors_640The Today show won its second week in a row in A25-54 viewers with a +4 percent lead over ABC’s Good Morning America. The NBC morning show is now leading quarter-to-date in the ad-friendly demo, but GMA still holds the season-to-date lead and also has a +7 lead among total viewers.

But most troubling for the network morning show leader, GMA is seeing double digit loses vs. the same week last year: down -14 percent in viewers and down -18 percent in the demo. CBS This Morning continues to be the only morning show seeing growth. CTM is up +15 percent in viewers and up +9 percent in the demo vs. the same week last year. The Today show was down slightly in both: down -1 percent in viewers and down -3 percent in the demo.
