Game Shows Give Big Idea A Big Audience

CNBC’s The Big Idea with Donny Deutsch had its highest viewership ever on Thursday night. The program averaged 287,000 viewers in the 25-54 demo and 439,000 total viewers.

Many of the viewers came from the 9pm broadcast of Deal or No Deal, which had more than a million total viewers and 586,000 in the demo. The Big Idea was all about “the glitz, the ballyhoo, the razzle-dazzle of America’s game shows,” beginning with — what else? — an interview with Howie Mandel.

Thursday also marked CNBC’s best primetime delivery since April 2003…
