Fox Weather’s Jason Frazer, WNBC’s Romney Smith Are Expecting First Child Together

A local newser and a national newser are expecting their first child together.

Fox Weather anchor Jason Frazer and NBC 4 New York reporter Romney Smith announced on social media last week that they will be expecting their first child this coming May.

Frazer and Smith worked at WKYC in Cleveland until they left together in the summer of 2021 for Frazer to join Fox Weather and Smith to join WNBC.

Frazer currently hosts Fox Weather First, the streaming platform’s live morning program, along with Britta Merwin. Smith can regularly be seen reporting from the field for the weekday edition of Today in New York.

Frazer and Smith met in 2013 at a NABJ convention when he was a reporter for WBNS in Columbus, Ohio, and she was an anchor at Fox’s WFXL-TV in Albany, Ga. They got married in 2020.
