Fox News Takes Total Viewers, CNN Takes Demo During Coverage of Paris Terror Attack

ParisAs news of the massacre in Paris began to unfold around 6amET Wednesday, most American cable news viewers were tuned to Fox News. The network took total day and primetime in total viewers while CNN drew the most viewers in the younger demo in both total day and in primetime.

FNC was most-watched during every hour among total viewers, while CNN was most-watched for the hours of 8am-11am, 1pm-5pm and primetime, including at 8pm where “AC360” got a rare demo win over cable’s No. 1 show “The O’Reilly Factor.” The last time that happened was Nov. 25, the night of the grand jury decision in Ferguson, MO. Anderson Cooper was live from Paris for most of the hour, picking up from Wolf Blitzer8:16pm.
