Jason Klarman Named EVP of Marketing for Fox News Media

Fox News chief executive Suzanne Scott has announced that Jason Klarman is now evp of marketing for Fox News Media, effective immediately.

In his new role, Klarman will oversee brand strategy for Fox News Media which encompasses Fox News Channel, FBN, Fox News Digital, the OTT platform Fox Nation, Fox News Radio, Fox News Headlines 24/7, and all of the Fox News podcasts.

Klarman –an original Fox Newser who rejoined the network last year as a consultant– will report directly to Scott.

“After welcoming Jason back into the Fox News fold last year to launch Fox Nation, he made an immediate and substantial impact across all of our businesses with his strategic approach to branding and wowed us with his creativity in the process,” Scott said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to be collaborating with him once again.”

In addition to Fox Nation, Klarman helped launch the new America is Watching tagline, and worked with the network on its 2019 upfront presentation to the ad buying community.

“Suzanne and team have built Fox News Media into a multi-platform powerhouse,” Klarman added in a statement. “I’m excited to rejoin them in expanding the brand and business as we continue to grow, innovate and dominate in this ever evolving media landscape.”

A TV industry veteran, Klarman was part of the team that launched FNC in 1996, and rose to the role of vp of marketing, before departing in 2001 for USA Cable, overseeing marketing for TRIO and Newsworld International (NWI).

Before returning to the network in a consultant role last year, Klarman served as President of Hashtag Media Ideas, a content, marketing and digital strategy consulting company he has run since 2016. Prior to that, he was the cmo for Fullscreen Media. From 2008 through 2013, Klarman served as president of Oxygen, re-branding the service as a multi-platform female-focused network.
