Chicago Tribune biz columnist Andrew Leckey doesn’t expect Fox News to produce a more business-friendly channel. But in his Sunday column, he lists three “immediate results of this three-way competition between CNBC Bloomberg TV and the new Fox entry.” They are:

— “Competition to sign on-air talent, which means anchors and reporters have increased bargaining power when contracts come due.”
— “Greater intensity in seeking increased advertising revenues, cable outlets and subscribers.”
