World News Tonight with David Muir was the most-watched evening newscast last week, and the only program to grow in both total viewers and the A25-54 demo.
Compared to the same week last year the ABC program was up +1 percent in both total viewers and the demo. NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt was most-watched in the A25-54 demo, though it was down -8 percent in the younger demo vs. last year. CBS Evening News was also down -8 percent in the demo while down -1 percent in viewers.
Due to Thursday Night football CBS Evening News was retitled and Thursday’s program was excluded from the weekly averages.
