By Chris Ariens

ABC’s World News Tonight with David Muir won the Thanksgiving week among A25-54 viewers, by the slimmest of margins during the shortest of weeks. (The averages for ABC and CBS are based on two days, Monday and Tuesday, while NBC’s average is based on three days: Monday, Tuesday, and Friday).

ABC led NBC by just 1,000 viewers (or .04 percent), but it was enough to give ABC its first demo win in four months. NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt won the week among total viewers by 3 percent over ABC.

The CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley was the only broadcast to see growth among total viewers, up +5 percent vs. the same week last year. In the demo, NBC was flat, while ABC and CBS were down 9 percent.

Nightly News also wins November sweeps in both viewers (its 33rd consecutive total viewer sweeps win) and in the demo, but was down -3 percent in viewers and flat in the demo.
