NBC’s Lester Holt gives Nightly News a total viewer win for the fifth consecutive week, but ABC’s World News Tonight with David Muir finished atop the key A25-54 demo. Nightly News has won total viewers every week since Holt was officially named anchor. Nightly News has now won among total viewers for 10 of the last 13 weeks and 298 of the last 305 weeks.
World News Tonight’s demo win gives ABC a four-week high in the category. CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley finished third in both viewers and the demo. Compared to the same week last year, Nightly News was down slightly in total viewers but up +5 percent in the demo. World News Tonight was up +3 percent in viewers and +5 percent in the demo, while Evening New was stagnant percent in viewers and down -8 percent in the demo.
