ABC’s World News with Charles Gibson enjoyed a rare across-the-board ratings victory last week, placing first in total viewers, the 25-54 demo, and households.
“The ABC broadcast posted its best delivery among total viewers in nearly two years (week of 2/28/05) and had its largest advantage over NBC in 7 months (week of 7/3/06),” ABC says.
CBS “has its best week in total viewers and adults 18-49 since debut week (week of 9/4/06),” the network notes, and it “has its best week in adults 25-54 since the second week (week of 9/11/06).”
“This week’s CBS Evening News ratings will really reflect the level of sampling following the Super Bowl promos,” an e-mailer says. “The numbers from this week will be more important. How many viewers stuck around?”
