Evening News Ratings: Week of Dec. 7

The CBS Evening News with Scott Pelley remains in 3rd place, but it was the only program to see overall growth compared to the same week last year. Pelley, who, along with his 60 Mintues team, was honored with a duPont Award this morning, saw viewership for Evening News up +2 percent. The broadcast was also up slightly in the A25-54 demo.

NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, which remains No. 1 in the evenings, was down -4 percent in viewers and up +2 percent in the demo. ABC’s World News Tonight with David Muir was down -2 percent in viewers and down -8 percent in the demo. Evening News is in its closest competitive position to World News Tonight in the demo since the week of March 10, 2014.
