Couric Brings Producer From NBC To Oversee “Look” Of Her CBS Evening News

CBS News has hired one of Katie Couric‘s producers away from NBC and put him in charge of the “look” of the new CBS Evening News. “Bob Peterson, an Emmy Award-winning editor, has been named Creative Director, CBS News,” Sean McManus announced today.

According to the press release, he “will oversee the ‘look’ of all CBS News broadcasts, working with executive producers and directors to achieve a new and unified presentation for CBS News programming. He will collaborate most immediately and closely with director Eric Shapiro about the future of the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric.”

Peterson spent nine years at NBC, where he worked primarily on Today, Dateline NBC, and Couric’s primetime specials…
