Bob Schieffer Hits The Big Time: He Gets A Bobblehead Doll

CBS News says in a press release: “CBS News Anchor Bob Schieffer takes a trip down memory lane when he returns to his Texas roots to be inducted into his favorite minor league team’s hall of fame. The Fort Worth Cats will honor Schieffer at their next home game on Friday, June 16 at LaGrave Field. Schieffer will become the first media figure to be named a Legend of LaGrave.

He will receive a plaque recognizing him as the team’s number one fan and will be immortalized with a bobble-head doll in his likeness. Though Schieffer has received numerous awards and is critically acclaimed for his journalism career, he says, ‘this is the greatest thrill of my life, the greatest honor I’ve ever received.’
