Cooper Back on CNN With Hour on Obama

By SteveK

One day after delivering a 35-minute speech on race relations given major play on all the news networks, Sen. Barack Obama spends the day with CNN’s Anderson Cooper. A special edition of Anderson Cooper 360 airs tonight at 10pmET, after a day where Cooper follows Obama on the trail in North Carolina.

Cooper will also interview Obama on the war in Iraq, the economy and the comments of his pastor. ABC News’ Terry Moran interviewed Obama last night in his first TV interview since the speech, with segments airing during Nightline and Good Morning America.

As noted by Just Jared, Cooper has been off the air this week. Cooper writes on his blog about his absence, saying, “On a personal note, I’ve been off for the last couple of days. I had minor surgery on Monday. A small spot of skin cancer was removed from under my left eye.

“Don’t want you to think I got into a fist fight with Charlie Rose,” he wrote.
