One goal of tomorrow’s relaunch of CNNMoney.com, with a focus on original online video content, is to “take on” financial competitor channels CNBC and FBN, according to David Ho in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The article highlights the strength of CNNMoney.com on the web, as it’s seven million unique visitors last month put it in fourth place behind the financial pages of Yahoo, MSN and AOL.

The videos added to the site will CEO interviews, company profiles, reviews and features. The site will start by producing a couple videos daily, and is expected to eventually bring that number to 15 or more, according to CNNMoney.com editor Chris Peacock.

The article quotes Jonathan Shar, general manger of CNNMoney.com. “We’re competing with anyone who is attracting consumers who are interested in business and financial news,” he said. “The ultimate goal is to start competing with television for those [advertising] budgets.”
