Andrew Ross Sorkin’s New Interview Series Debuts Tonight on NBC News Now

By Mark Mwachiro

Months after announcing that CNBC anchor Andrew Ross Sorkin will host and produce a limited original series for NBC’s 24-hour ad-supported streaming news network, NBC News Now, details of that series are now being revealed.

Special Edition with Andrew Ross Sorkin debuts tonight at 10:30 pm ET, and will feature in-depth interviews with key newsmakers, going beyond the headlines.

For the first episode of the limited series, the CNBC Squawk Box co-host sits down with Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla for a wide-ranging interview. One of the topics Sorkin discussed with Bourla was his second bout with Covid-19 coming just two months after the first infection, and how he reacted to the experience. Boula also responded to the viral video claiming the Pfizer vaccine was never tested on preventing transmission.

In March, NBC News Group’s president Noah Oppenheim said in a statement, “Andrew is one of the most respected interviewers in the nation. His renowned expertise on all-things business and policy, as well as his extraordinary talent to tell compelling stories, make him the perfect addition to NBC News Now’s expanding slate of original journalism.”

Subsequent episodes of Special Edition with Andrew Ross Sorkin will air in the coming weeks.
