Anchors Head West To Cover Fires

By Chris Ariens

ABC’s Charles Gibson and NBC’s Brian Williams are on their way out west to report on the growing wildfires in Southern California. This morning, CBS News announced Katie Couric is also headed west. With winds not expected to die down until Wednesday, it could be a busy next couple of days for the evening news anchors. We’re told Williams will base in San Diego as will NBC’s Matt Lauer. Lester Holt remains in Los Angeles. Terry Moran, Chris Cuomo and Claire Shipman are also on the ground, reporting for ABC News broadcasts.
