Tom Brady Will Be Roasted in New Netflix Series

Netflix is launching a series of new specials dedicated to greatest roasts of all time, or GROATs.

The first roast, part of the streamer’s new Greatest Roasts of All Time: GROAT series, will feature iconic NFL quarterback Tom Brady, who will also serve as executive producer in a multi-roast deal, with his own roast set to tape in 2023, following his next season in the NFL.

“To quote my good friend, Marshawn Lynch … ‘I’m just here so I won’t get fined,’” said Brady in a statement.

“We can’t wait to burn three-time Super Bowl-losing quarterback Tom Brady, who only went back to the NFL in order to delay this roast,” said Robbie Praw, Netflix vice president of stand-up and comedy formats. “In all seriousness, it’s a huge thrill to work with the greatest football player of all time on this project. No one’s better at taking hits and still coming out on top, so we know the roast will be a breeze for Brady.”

Additional information and roasters will be announced at a later date.

Brady is fully-immersed in the world of television these days, despite his status as an active NFL player. In addition to his Man in the Arena streaming series for ESPN+, and his imminent Netflix series, Brady recently signed a monster deal to join Fox Sports whenever he decides to end his playing career. He will become the network’s lead NFL game analyst and reportedly earn a stunning salary of $375 million over 10 years for his services.
