Strange World and 3 Other Trailers You Missed

Today’s trailer roundup includes Disney+’s Strange World, Disney+’s The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, Netflix’s Kaleidoscope and Hulu’s The Drop.

Strange World comes to Disney+ on Dec. 23. Meet The Clades, a legendary family of explorers who attempt to navigate an uncharted, treacherous land alongside a motley crew that includes a mischievous blob called Splat; Legend, the family dog; and a slew of ravenous creatures. The voice cast includes Jake Gyllenhaal, Dennis Quaid, Jaboukie Young-White, Gabrielle Union and Lucy Liu.

The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder returns for a second season on Feb. 1, 2023. The revival picks up the story of its central character, Penny Proud, and her iconic family: parents Oscar and Trudy, twin siblings BeBe and CeCe and grandmother Suga Mama (and Puff!). Guest voice talent for Season 2 includes Chance the Rapper, Leslie Odom, Jr., Holly Robinson Peete and Normani.

Kaleidoscope streams on Netflix on Jan. 1, 2023. The all-new anthology series follows a crew of masterful thieves and their attempt to crack a seemingly unbreakable vault for the biggest payday in history. Guarded by the world’s most powerful corporate security team, and with law enforcement on the case, every episode reveals a piece of an elaborate puzzle of corruption, greed, vengeance, scheming, loyalties and betrayals. The cast includes Giancarlo Esposito, Paz Vega, Rufus Sewell, Tati Gabrielle, Peter Mark Kendall, Rosaline Elbay, Jai Courtney and Niousha Noor.

The Drop premieres on Hulu on Jan. 13, 2023. Lex (Anna Konkle) and Mani (Jermaine Fowler) are a happily married young couple running their dream artisanal bakery in Los Angeles and excited about starting a family together. A trip to a tropical island resort for a friend’s destination wedding, coinciding with Lex’s ovulation cycle, feels like the perfect opportunity to conceive. But good vibes and high hopes are cut short when, shortly after their arrival to paradise, Lex accidentally drops her friend’s (Aparna Nancherla) baby in front of all their friends.
