Social Scoreboard: Week of January 5

Award shows were the story for last week’s Nielsen Twitter TV Ratings. The ‘Golden Globes’ took the top spot with 1.86 million tweets sent by 556,000 unique authors. In second place was CBS’s broadcast of the ‘People’s Choice Awards’ which generated 563,000 tweets by 235 unique authors. Also in the Top 10 are shows that we should expect to be list staples for the coming months, including ‘The Bachelor,’ ‘Pretty Little Liars, and ‘ American Idol.’ I have a feeling, though, that Fox’s Empire – which placed fifth – won’t be there next week.
