Russian Doll Will Return to Netflix for Season 2 on April 20

Russian Doll gets a second life as Netflix has announced April 20 as the premiere date for the critically acclaimed series. Natasha Lyonne returns as Nadia Vulkovov, a New York City based software engineer who found herself reliving her 36th birthday party in an infinite time loop, during which she died repeatedly.

Season 2 is set four years later after Nadia and her friend Alan (Charlie Barnett) escaped the time loop, and they embark on a new adventure to explore more existential mysteries together. Discovering a fate even worse than death, this season Nadia and Alan find an unexpected time portal in Manhattan that will bring more challenges than they bargained for, as this teaser shows:

Lyonne also serves as showrunner and executive producer, along with Amy Poehler, Alex Buono (Paper Kite Productions), Leslye Headland, Lilly Burns (Jax Media), Tony Hernandez (Jax Media), Dave Becky (3 Arts), Kate Arend (Paper Kite Productions), Regina Corrado and Allison Silverman.

Following its debut in 2019, Russian Doll received 13 Emmy nominations,  including outstanding comedy series and outstanding lead actress in a comedy (Lyonne), and won three: for production design, contemporary costumes and cinematography.
