Roku Photo Streams allows users to upload photographs from their PC or mobile phone directly to their Roku devices and use them as screensavers. They may also share streams with other Roku users so that they will appear on their Roku devices. Friends and relatives may contribute their images to a shared stream after it has been posted, creating a shared album.

Roku’s new automated speech clarity option detects and enhances dialogue, ensuring that users don’t miss a word, while the new sound settings are optimized for various viewing conditions to offer the greatest audio experience. With a simple calibration tool within the Roku mobile app, Roku is also providing A/V sync across compatible player and audio devices, syncing audio with the action on the screen.

The expanded content discovery includes “What to Watch,” which enables simple access, a tailored selection of new titles that have just been uploaded and suggestions for users based on popular and trending material, is part of the enhanced content discovery. Users will also be able to see their recently watched live tv content and discover the latest in local and national news, sports and movies in the Live TV section, which is now located on the home screen menu.

Roku Voice makes device setup and channel login for approved applications easier by letting users to use their voice to enter email, password and PIN information. In the United States and supported countries, voice-enabled keyboards will be available in Spanish, German and Portuguese in the U.S. and supported countries.

The free Roku mobile app will have an improved visual experience while searching on the platform with OS 11. With OS 11, new graphic components identify which channels are streaming the material for free or where it may be watched under current subscriptions, providing more information about where to stream movies and TV episodes.
