Christmas has arrived early this year with the release of the trailer for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s new Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan.

Volume I will premiere on Dec. 8, followed by Volume II Dec. 15 on Netflix.

In the trailer, the married couple recounts their early courtship before everything changed.

The Duke of Sussex recounts the pattern of poor treatment against women who marry into the Royal Family.

“The pain and suffering of women marrying into this institution, this feeding frenzy,” Harry said.

“I realized they’re never going to protect you,” Markle notes.

“I was terrified. I didn’t want history to repeat itself,” Harry adds.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex reveal the other side of their well-known love story in the documentary. The six-part series delves into their courtship and the struggles that ultimately prompted them to relinquish their full-time jobs in the institution.

The series goes beyond the couple’s love story; it paints a picture of the world and how we treat one another with commentary from friends and family, many of whom have never spoken publicly before about what they witnessed, and historians who discuss the state of the British Commonwealth today and the royal family’s relationship with the press.
