Job Title: Motion Graphics Designer: 2D or 3D Animator

Locations: San Jose, CA Portland, OR Seattle, WA
Status: Freelance
PRIMARY FUNCTION
Work with clients to provide creative solutions and design powerful
and effective motion graphics
SKILLS REQUIREMENTS
• Proficient in both Mac & PC operation and related software
including After Effects, Photoshop, and Illustrator
• Proficiency in any of various disciplines of design and animation
software such as Maya, Flash, Quark, Motion, Fireworks, Smoke, Flame,
Dreamweaver, Shake, Combustion, Discreet, 3D Studio Max, Cinema 4D
• Capable of modeling, compositing, matte painting
• Experience incorporating video and graphics; possibly light video
editing using AVID or Final Cut Pro
• Capable of concept development and storyboarding
• Demonstrates understanding branding & marketing strategies and
implementation
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communications skills
• Ability to conform to client-specific design requirements, from
conservative to cutting edge
• Fully capable of accurate time and resource budgeting
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Art, Multimedia or related field;
or equivalent work and training experience
• 5 years design experience
• Broadcasting or video production experience helpful
• Corporate or Industrial design experience helpful
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
• Designers should be local to the areas above and willing to work
on-site for clients with confidential or time sensitive material
• Designers should have reel/samples available
online/electronically for company and client review
