Kaley Cuoco and Pete Davidson will star in the romantic comedy Meet Cute, coming to Peacock on Sept. 21.

The movie follows Sheila (Cuoco), who uses a time machine to recreate “meet cutes” with Gary (Davidson), allowing them to fall in love over and over again.

“We are thrilled to add Meet Cute to our slate of Peacock original movies this Fall,” said Val Boreland, evp, content acquisition, NBCUniversal entertainment, television and streaming. “It’s the perfect film to join Peacock’s catalog as the service continues to expand with a range of films for every fan and occasion.”

In addition to Meet Cute, Cuoco has been tapped to star in Based on a True Story, a darkly comedic thriller. Based on a true event, Based On A True Story is about a realtor, a plumber and a former tennis star whose lives collide unexpectedly, exposing the country’s obsession with true crime and murder. Cuoco plays a married woman named Ava Bartlett.

Cuoco is coming off her second season on HBO Max’s The Flight Attendant. In the critically acclaimed series, Cuoco plays a flight attendant battling a serious alcohol addiction when she wakes up in a hotel room next to a dead man and is thrust into a murder mystery. Cuoco also stars in the HBO Max adult animated series Harley Quinn as the title character.

Davidson will also star, write and executive produce the half-hour series, Bupkis, a fictionalized version of his real life, for Peacock. Bupkis will be a mix of grounded storytelling and an absurdist worldview for which Davidson is well known.
