Edie Falco will star in Peacock’s new comedy series from Pete Davidson, Bupkis.

Falco will star as Davidson’s mom in the half-hour live-action comedy, written, starring and executive produced by the Saturday Night Live actor. The announcement was made at the NBCUniversal Upfront Monday when Falco joined Davidson on stage.

“I am so excited to be playing your mother in this show, Pete,” said Falco, who previously starred in Nurse Jackie and The Sopranos. “Finally, I get to play an overwhelmed mother of two living in a world of corruption. Except this time, it’s Staten Island.”

Bupkis is a heightened, fictionalized version of Davidson’s real-life story. The series “will combine grounded storytelling with absurd elements from the unfiltered and original worldview for which Davidson is well known.”

Lorne Michaels will executive produce Bupkis for Broadway Video, Judah Miller (Showrunner) and Dave Sirus are writing and executive producing alongside Andrew Singer and Erin David. The series comes from Universal Television and Broadway Video.
