CNN+ Launches on Roku After Initial Delay

CNN+ will launch today on the Roku platform.

Roku users can get the all-new CNN app through the Roku channel store, which includes both the CNN+ subscription service and access to the existing TV anywhere experience for pay TV subscribers.

CNN+’s extensive content library is now available to Roku users. CNN+ offers eight to 12 live daily shows, new CNN+ original series and a library of over 1,000 hours of programming from CNN’s original series and films teams. In addition, the streamer’s Interview Club feature, which is available on desktop, mobile, and tablets, allows users to participate in the conversation and drive the story forward.

Two weeks ago, on the official March 29 U.S. launch day for CNN+, the service debuted on desktop and across a variety of supported smartphones, tablets and streaming devices, including Amazon Fire TV, Android phones, tablets and Apple devices. It did not, however, roll out on Roku, which raised some eyebrows. It appears that issue has been rectified.

CNN+ can be purchased for $5.99 per month or $59.99 for a year. The Roku channel store allows users to join up for a 7-day free trial.
