Unbound Worlds Releases New Sci-Fi Author Series

By Dianna Dilworth

Penguin Random House’s science-fiction and fantasy-themed website Unbound Worlds has launched a new content series called The Filaments of Fiction.

The new series includes original essays in which authors explain one essential book that has influenced how they read and write. Participating authors include: Ian Douglas, Robert Jackson Bennett, Nisi Shawl, and Elizabeth Bonesteel.

Jenni Fagan describes her experience after reading A Clockwork Orange as a 15 year old in a child care facility. Aidan Moher writes about how The Sword of Shannara led him to want to write fantasy and Elizabeth Bonesteel talks about the influence that Ursula K. Le Guin’s The Tombs of Atuan inspired her to write.
