Three actors have joined the cast of the Jumanji remake: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Kevin Hart, and Jack Black. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jake Kasdan will serve as the director.
Johnson (pictured, via) revealed the news on his various social media pages. He also teased that there are “two big roles left. One bad ass girl. One semi-sorta bad ass dude. Who will they be…this is gonna be fun.”
The original film adaptation came out back in 1995. Some of the actors who starred in that movie include the late Robin Williams, Bonnie Hunt, and Kirsten Dunst. The story for both adaptation projects comes from Chris Van Allsburg’s classic picture book. Houghton Mifflin originally published this book back in 1981. (via Rolling Stone Magazine)
