Chanterelle pastry chef Kate Zuckerman (inset) had the night off last night, as the chic downtown restaurant was crammed to capacity with foodies and media types celebrating the publication of The Sweet Life, her collection of dessert recipes from Chanterelle’s kitchen. Guests lined up around the block to get a taste of Zuckerman’s oatmeal raisin cookies, chocolate caramel tarts, and other delicious treats, while Zuckerman spent the evening by the front door, greetign new arrivals and signing copies of the book.
