DK Sends PR Team to CBGB Closing

As CBGB closed down for good over the weekend, DK Publishing dropped in on the show to promote Punk: The Whole Story (held aloft on the Bowery by publicist Pamela Wiesner). DK had 500 pins with the book’s logo to distribute to concertgoers, and Wiesner was able to give one to Patti Smith outside the club. “Patti Smith is CBGB,” Wiesner gushed afterwards. “She is punk, and she’s all over the pages of Punk. I never expected I would actually get to give Patti Smith a Punk pin on such a historic night!”
