Radhika Jones has been hired by the New York Times to serve as the editorial director of the books section. Jones will report to the editor of The New York Times Book Review, Pamela Paul.
Here’s more from the press release: “Ms. Jones will oversee all review coverage in The Times, both from The Times’s staff critics, and in the pages of The New York Times Book Review. She will also be working on features, news and overall digital strategy together with Ms. Paul.”
Prior to this development, Jones served as the deputy managing editor at TIME magazine. In the past, she has also worked at The Paris Review, Grant, Artforum, and The Moscow Times.
