Charlamagne Tha God Inks Deal With Touchstone

Charlamagne Tha God (GalleyCat)Charlamagne Tha God has signed a deal with the Simon & Schuster imprint, Touchstone. This radio and television personality (pictured, via) plans to write a self-help book entitled Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create It.

Matthew Benjamin, a senior editor, negotiated this deal with Charlamagne’s representatives from Dupree Miller & Associates. The publication date has been scheduled for Spring 2017.

Beginning with his journey from the small town of Moncks Corner, South Carolina to his headline-grabbing interviews with celebrities like Kanye West, Kevin Hart, Malcom Gladwell, Lena Dunham, Jay Z, and Hillary Clinton, the book will share how he turned his troubled early life around by taking ownership of his many mistakes and refusing to give up.”
