Patrick Osborne will take the helm for an adaptation of Paul Pope’s graphic novel Battling Boy.
Osborne won an Academy Award in the best animated short category for the 2014 film, Feast. In the past, he served as an animator for several projects including Bolt, Tangled, and Wreck-It-Ralph.
Here’s more from Variety: “Battling Boy centers on a 12-year-old demigod who must rid the dystopian sprawl of Acropolis of monsters and demons following the death of its protector. The book debuted in 2013 and led to the publication of prequels The Death of Haggard West (The Invincible Haggard West) and The Rise of Aurora West.” (via io9)
