The New York Times is bringing its Crossword app to Android. The New York Times Crossword, edited by Will Shortz, can now be downloaded in the Google Play for free.
Crossword fans can access a free mini puzzle every day or subscribe to more in-depth puzzles and have access to the daily puzzle (as it appears in the paper), as well as decades worth of archived crosswords. A monthly subscription is $6.95, while an annual subscription costs $39.95 per year. NYT digital and home delivery subscribers get a 50 percent discount on Crossword subscriptions.
The app has a cool feature that lets users sync across devices. So if you start the puzzle on your iPhone, and you pick it up later on your Kindle, you don’t have to reenter what you have already completed.
