Thirty songwriters have teamed up on a “literary mixtape” book that will benefit children’s literacy charities.
The Stories for Ways and Means book, from record label Waxploitation, includes contributions from Devendra Banhart, Alison Mosshart, Kathleen Hanna, Matthew Dear, Will Oldham, Gary Numan, Satomi Matsuzaki, Spencer Krug, Del the Funky Homosapien, Jason Lytle, John Vanderslice and Gibby Haynes, among others. Each participant contributed a story or drawing to the massive tome.
The book is available for pre-order in hardback edition or exclusive signed version. Proceeds benefit Room to Read and Pencils of Promise.
