Lionsgate has unveiled the first trailer for the Blood Father film adaptation. The video embedded above offers glimpses of Mel Gibson playing John Link and Erin Moriarty playing John Link’s daughter Lydia.
Deadline reports that other cast members include Diego Luna as Jonah, Michael Parks as a preacher, and William H. Macy as Kirby Curtis. The theatrical release date has been set for August 12.
According to The Wrap, the story comes from Peter Craig’s 2006 novel. Craig collaborated with Andrea Berloff to write the screenplay. (via Slash Film)
