“Yabba dabba doo!” DC Comics has launched The Flintstones comic series.
According to the press release, the character designs were based on the work of Amanda Conner. For the first issue, Mark Russell wrote the story and Steve Pugh created both the cover art and the interior illustrations.
The second issue will be released on August 10. The third issue will follow on September 7.
The Flintstones, a beloved animated series, aired for six seasons. This show served as the inspiration for more than a dozen video games, several television movies, and two live-action films. (via io9)
