Image Comics announced that the Invincible comic series will be coming to an end. Robert Kirkman, the writer, and Ryan Ottley, the artist, will team up to create the final story arc, “The End of All Things.”
According to the publisher’s press release, Issue #133, the first part of this story arc, will be released in November 2016. This book will be followed by eleven more installments; the series will conclude with issue #144.
Kirkman wrote a letter to reveal the reason why he decided to end this series. The piece was posted on Skybound.com. Here’s an excerpt:
“So we’ve got a little over a year to go, and it’s going to be one hell of a year! So please join us for our swan song, thirteen years in the making! We couldn’t have done it without you, the fans, so lets all cross the finish line together!”
