Game of Thrones HBO Series to End With Eighth Season

Game of Thrones 200Casey Bloys, the programming president of HBO, has confirmed that the Game of Thrones series will be finished by the end of season eight. According to The Hollywood Reporter, he did not reveal how many episodes will be shot for the last season.

Game of Thrones fans need not fall into total despair over this news because Bloys did confirm that the Game of Thrones showrunners are discussing the possibility of spinoffs. In the past, George R.R. Martin, the author of the A Song of Ice and Fire book series, recommended the Dunk & Egg novellas for a future adaptation project.
