Freeform announced that Shadowhunters has been renewed for a second season. The story for this adaptation project comes from Cassandra Clare’s six-part young adult series, The Mortal Instruments.
Here’s more from The Hollywood Reporter: “The Mortal Instruments is the third series chronologically of a proposed five in The Shadowhunter Chronicles that includes City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass, City of Fallen Angels, City of Lost Souls, and City of Heavenly Fire. The first book of the series, City of Bones, serves as the ‘skeleton’ for the first season of the series.”
Cast members on this TV show include Katherine McNamara as Clary Fray, Dominic Sherwood as Jace Wayland, and Harry Shum Jr. as Magnus Bane. The finale episode for season one will be aired on April 5. (via Bustle)
