Forest Whitaker has been cast in the Black Panther film adaptation. The Oscar-winning actor will portray a Wakandan statesman named Zuri.
In an announcement from Marvel, it was revealed that Whitaker joins a cast that already includes Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, and Lupita Nyong’o. The titular superhero (a.k.a. Wakandan ruler T’Challa), played by Boseman, first appeared in the Captain America: Civil War movie.
