Ellie Kemper, best known for her breakout role on Netflix’s Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, has signed a book deal with the Simon & Schuster imprint, Scribner.
Kemper plans to write a collection of personal and humorous essays. The release date has been set for 2018.
Shannon Welch, the executive editor who will edit Kemper’s book, gave this statement in the press release: “We were bowled over by Ellie Kemper’s gifts as a writer. She’s brilliant, charming, relatable, unexpected, insightful, and hilarious. She couldn’t be better company on the page.”
