The HarperPerennial Twitter feed launched the hashtag with this tweet: “@jennIRL you should start a hashtag trend. we’re listening! #dearpublisher.”

In just two hours, the hashtag had generated well over 200 tweets from readers, writers, and booksellers. The conversation continues to grow as of this 5:00 pm EST writing. Tag your publishing suggestions with the #dearpublisher label.

McNally Jackson wrote: A gentle suggestion: maybe spend less money on celebrity memoirs and use that money to re-hire folks?” More examples follow below.

Emily Ellsworth had this interesting observation: “Bloggers don’t have letterhead to use for faxed review requests. Email addresses are much appreciated.”

Colleen Lindsay suggested: “Direct phone line/email address of publicist on the ARC cover is better than the generic publicity number, too.”
