The producers behind Harry Potter and the Cursed Child have begun working on a Broadway production of this show. The news was first shared in a message on the Pottermore Twitter page (embedded below).
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the New York City version of the “eighth Harry Potter story” will be showcased at the Ambassador Theatre Group’s Lyric Theatre. The opening for this two-part play has been scheduled for Spring 2018.
Here’s more from The New York Times: “The show, which features grown versions of Harry Potter and Hermione, among other beloved characters, is written by Jack Thorne, based on a story by him, J.K. Rowling and John Tiffany. Mr. Tiffany is the director.
