robinsonm.jpgBloomsbury USA has acquired the North American rights for Everybody Matters, the memoirs of former Irish President Mary Robinson.

Agent Lynn Franklin negotiated the deal. In the 1990s, Robinson (pictured, via) served as the first female president of Ireland. She also served as the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights. Now the former politician helms the ethical globalization initiative, Realizing Rights.

Here’s more from the release: “Starting in 2011 she will be working from Ireland on climate justice, uniquely linking human rights and best environmental practice in a powerful new paradigm for action. Everybody Matters will chronicle her career, starting as a young lawyer in Ireland crusading for the rights of women, and encompassing her remarkable experiences ever since.”
