Adam Bellow to Lead Political Book Line for St. Martin’s Press

By Dianna Dilworth

Former HarperCollins executive Adam Bellow is joining St. Martin’s Press as editorial director of a new yet-to-be-named imprint dedicated to books about politics and current affairs.

The imprint will publish books the investigate a range of issues from both sides of the aisle with a focus on emerging conservative voices. Most of the imprint’s books will be nonfiction, but there will also be a select group of fiction stories.

“Left and right no longer even speak to one another, let alone debate each other’s books,” stated Bellow.  “This imprint will seek to revive the culture of intelligent debate, both within the right and between right and left, creating a sense of openness and ferment that will attract the most original and interesting writers and build community through a sense of shared mission and purpose.

Bellow’s former acquisitions for other publishers include New York Times bestsellers: Going Rogue by Sarah Palin; Clinton Cash by Peter Schweizer; A Time for Truth by Senator Ted Cruz; Stealing America by Dinesh D’Souza; and Heretic by Ayaan Hirsi Ali, among others.
