Jen Besser has received a promotion. Henceforth, she will hold the dual titles of president and publisher at the G.P. Putnam’s Sons Books for Young Readers imprint.
According to the announcement, Besser first came on board at Penguin Young Readers back in 2010. Since joining the company, she has edited and worked with several popular children’s books creators including Marie Lu, Christian Robinson, and Matt de la Peña.
Prior to Besser’s move to Penguin Young Readers, she worked at Disney-Hyperion for six years. During her tenure at Disney, she edited several bestselling authors such as Rick Riordan, Melissa de la Cruz, and Ally Carter.
