Week of May 2 TV Ratings: Cable Networks, Morning Shows, Evening News

According to Nielsen live-plus-same-day data, Fox News Channel was the most-watched basic cable network in total day—and the second-most-watched in prime time during the week of May 2. The cable news powerhouse also averaged more total viewers than CNN and MSNBC combined for the 38th consecutive week. (TVNewser)

ABC’s Good Morning America not only averaged the largest total audience on morning TV (3.4 million viewers), but the program averaged more adults 25-54 than its NBC and CBS competition. That’s rare. (TVNewser)

For the fourth consecutive week, ABC World News Tonight with David Muir was the most-watched show on U.S. TV (excluding sports and syndication), averaging 7.85 million total viewers and 1.345 million adults 25-54. (TVNewser)
