WarnerMedia Wraps Upfront Sales, Securing Record Revenue

In what is likely the last time it will conduct upfront business prior to its upcoming merger with Discovery, WarnerMedia said it had concluded the most successful upfront in its history, with record revenue, but offered no specifics about CPM (cost per thousand viewers reached) or volume increases. Executives indicated they saw interest in HBO Max, and noted the company was poised to test new format and ad initiatives with clients on that service. WarnerMedia launched an ad-supported version of HBO Max in June. They also indicated the company had attracted some new clients to run ads across its portfolio. (Variety)

WarnerMedia’s portfolio includes HBO, HBO Max, Warner Bros., TNT, TBS, truTV, CNN, DC, New Line, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim and Turner Classic Movies. It also owns ad-tech platform Xandr. (Deadline)
